Working with a client who is struggling with routing MIDI tracks from one track to another. Such as when you have a VST playing an arp and you want to capture the MIDI data (not the audio) of the arp AFTER the MIDI notes go through the VST. This is easy peasy in Ableton, but I ma finding it very difficult to locate this option in Reaper. Do you have a video on this topic?

Hi! I'm currently using MT Power Drums in Reaper and I want to switch to Superior Drummer 3 because love its sound. But I am afraid if it's going to work out... So I basically program the MIDI drums on my computer keyboard, then I just choose MT Power Drums and I don't even mix/change anything, I just want Reaper to play those drums. Will it work the same with SD3? I read that it's a "standalone software" and every tutorial shows possibilities of doing some really complex stuff, but I'd like to keep it very simple - just choose a cool "stock" preset in SD3 and then record other instruments... Is that possible? :)

I have been searching and searching but I get different confusing answers I am playing guitar and I record a few takes and when I am happy with one take of the first part I want to continue with the song and keep recording I need the last take keep playing while I continue recording the remaining on new take How to do this?

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. When I try to reduce the volume on one specific peak, it just does the entire track.

If this isnt working for you or if you are trying to link multiple tracks to the master tempo, you have to do this: double click the track opening media item properties, then change Item Timebase to Beats(auto-stretch at tempo change).

Why drum sequencing versus recording drums? You can actually build an electric drum set to allow the drummer to play his parts into the Sequencer for quite cheaply.

I was trying to find a way to color a region of a certain track. 10 minutes of my life wasted here !

Thank you very much! What is the quickest/efficient way to silence completely a section of the audio? I guess we can drag the slider all the way to 0. Or use item's mute checkbox or something. But perhaps there is a better and best practice way.

Very cool... glad I came... I was admittedly looking how to change gain on an audio track using only Reaper... again not volume slider or anything, but Ableton has a way to drag the gain up or down where you see the waves swell or shrink... without a plugin like EZMix just to do that if it's all I want. Hopefully Reaper does, too.

What does it mean that you "Chopped these up into relevant sections" How do you chop things up?

Hey, I loved the video, however I am confused between the Volume (Pre-FX)" knob and the "Volume (Item)" knob. Which one of the two is used to do gain staging or considered as the gain knob on reaper? Which one should I use when it's a .wav file.

I'm the reverse; coming from another DAW and do not want takes :P Finding it super frustrating to disable the whole feature - i want to write midi performances without it continuously creating new takes...thank you for help w this
